The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons
The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons is a 2001 action–adventure game for the Game Boy Color, developed by Capcom in partnership with Nintendo. It was released alongside its companion title, Oracle of Ages, as part of the The Legend of Zelda.
The story follows Link as he is transported to the land of Holodrum, where the General of Darkness, Onox, captures Din—the Oracle of Seasons—throwing the natural order into chaos. To restore balance, Link gains control of the Rod of Seasons, allowing him to change the seasons at will. Each season alters the environment, opening new paths, revealing secrets, and reshaping puzzles.
Compared to its counterpart, Oracle of Seasons places greater emphasis on combat and action-focused challenges while still featuring classic Zelda dungeon design, item progression, and exploration. The game also includes a password/link system that connects it with Oracle of Ages, unlocking additional story content and an extended ending.
With colorful pixel art, creative mechanics, and interconnected storytelling, Oracle of Seasons remains a standout 2D entry in the Zelda series.
